At first, this website was created to document my own collection and be able to show it in a digital form rather than have it sit on my shelf, tucked away in a binder. However, as time passed I realized that there are very few resources available online (especially in English) to beginner and intermediate collectors of Russian banknotes. With very few sources of information about the background behind these banknotes, I decided to use my own banknotes as part of a new, online resource that collectors could use to start, maintain, or grow their collection of Russian banknotes. All the notes on this site are mine, all serials are from my own notes.
